My daughter fell when she was around two years old. She hit her front teeth on the steps. Eventually they fell out, and when her permanent ones came in they had scars on them. Basically white spots on them. She's never been a shy kid, never afraid to smile, very outgoing. Just the other day she had an appointment to fix the spots. And after that appointment, when she first looked the mirror to see what Dr. Herbert had done, you could not wipe that smile off her eleven year old face. Positive Dental Experience For most people hearing Positive and Dental in the same sentence sounds like an oxymoron. Before & After Magic I had grown up with an authoritarian dentist who made me feel like a failure for my bad teeth--like having a cavity was a personal insult on him and his profession. It took awhile to overcome the resentment that early experience instilled in me. When I found J&D Dental, I was very pleased with their proactive and patient-first attitude. They didn't waste time scolding me for my past and have made my smile beautiful. It's coming up on a one year anniversary since my first appointment with them, and I owe them a great deal of thanks. Dentistry should be therapeutic in all aspects, and my experience with Dr. Herbert has demonstrated that fully.

I had a chipped tooth that broke in two places with 24 hours. I left a message last night. At 8:00 Patricia (who recognized my voice on the recording) called and scheduled me at 11:30. I came in, had an X-ray and was thrilled to find out it was an old filling that had broken off and there was no major damage to the tooth or the root. I was numbed (offered dark glasses and headsets) and it was fixed in a timely manner and OMG it looks better than ever. They also were very aware that my bottom teeth were shifting and how it was affecting my bite so they adjusted the new filling to fit with my current bite. I am so grateful to have all the women of J & D Dental in my life. My husband has been so impressed with my experiences with them that he is changing dentists! They have a great "yearly " plan for those who do not have dental insurance. It is a great value and very reasonable. Give these ladies a try, you will not be disappointed."

The best dental experience I can imagine! I cannot explain how much I dislike going to the dentist. For that reason, I put off my normal dentist appointment for about 4 years before finally going into J & D Dental's downtown Minneapolis office.... My experience could not have been more pleasant! They were the most kind, personal and professional dentistry personnel I have ever seen or could have imagined. It was the first (and only) time I have ever been okay with having the report of a cavity to be filled. They clearly explained the options in front of me and how much it would cost me based on my insurance. When it came time to fill my cavity, they eased my nervousness with not only nitrous (awesome!) but my choice of music on an Ipod shuffle to listen to while they did what they had to do! I have never heard of any business going to those lengths to make their patient comfortable and they definitely succeeded. I would rate this dentist higher than 5 stars if it were possible, and do not dread my next appointment like I have every other time in my life. Well done!

I love my dentist! I bet you never heard that from anyone before. I go to J&D dental originally because it is right across the street from my office and they take Delta Dental. I have had nothing but a great experience with my dentist (Dr Herbert).
